Friday night we met some friends at a wine bar. As we were waiting for a table, we perused the wines offered for sale. I was intrigued by this Washington label:

We resisted this temptation, settled for a Tempranillo and a nice Sangiovese.

I’m not sure we could have resisted that label. I think I’ll check the local wine merchant to see if I can get a bottle. Great label.

Another great label, and good wine: Fat Bastard cab sav. Yum. I love wine labels these days, thanks for sharing this one!

Guys - I don’t think it’s as scary as Mad Housewife wine! I wonder if it’s inspired by the Seattle band Death Cab For Cutie?

I wish I had a picture of a bottle we bought not so long ago…it was something called Cat’s Phee on a Gooseberry Bush, I think. Ok, I think I can link to a picture. Let’s see if this works:

Obviously (to me), my link didn’t work. So, you can view the bottle at: http://www.winelegend.com/Product/11656_Big.jpg

A wise choice, I’d say. In the immortal words of the Monty Python sketch on Australian wines, “This is a wine to lie down & avoid”.
