I remember when we first moved to Port Townsend, we met some kayaking enthusiasts who were taking their dunking lessons in a heated pool somewhere. It may not have simulated the actual frigid experience of capsizing in Puget Sound, but they probably got their technique down without flirting with hypothermia.

I saw a headline somewhere that said $4 gallon gas will soon be the "good old days" when we face $12-$15 per gallon in the near future. We just moved to where the lowest gas price is $4.25. It's a good thing we don't drive much. Yikes.

Good luck on that tech update.
