Ashland Hike Photos

I finally prodded and tweaked our hike photos from our Ashland trip last week and assembled them into photo galleries:

I’ll return to this post and add some editorial comments.  Right now, I’m headed out to kayak a bit and try my Canon A720 and its new waterproof case.

  1. Wow, very nice.

We’re still sorry we couldn’t hook up with you last year. Seems like such a long time ago (May) and, well it’s not the same out here. ; (

I’m curious to see how your new camera works. My little a520 isn’t doing what I’d like. Do you have the extra lens etc?

Cheers. And hey, no matter, I ran and won a few races/dashes in school and that was certainly enough for me.

  2. Those are some fine photos. I’m particularly intrigued by your blue-bird friend in this photo: http://phil2bin.com/photogallery/Ashland2008_GrizzlyPeak/pages/IMG_1130_edited-1%20closeup.html

What kind of bird is it…do you know?

Looks like you had an outstanding time in some beautiful country. My envy is kicking up again, so I’ll calm it with another shot of Conmemorativo.

  3. Phil:

Thanks, CM. Are you coming back here this year at all? I haven’t done a lot more than point-and-shoot with the A720. I ended up not going out boating Sunday, but I did try it out in the waterproof case and it’s SWEET!. Watch this space.

John - thanks for continuing to check in, despite the dearth of content. I was especially pleased with the bluebird shot. Mrs. Perils thinks it’s a western Bluebird. I don’t have a book at hand, and I’m not the birder that The Bums are. Still, I enjoyed getting the shot.
